10月22日 Leehom 盖世英雄 Concert 2006 @ Singapore
Oct 21 2006, 2030hrs @ Singapore Indoor Stadium......
当我说盖世你说英雄, “盖世!”,“英雄!”; “盖世!”,“英雄!”
This was the funky and interactive opening of the concert, a complementary effort by Leehom and the audiences.
Leehom impressed every single supportive audience in the indoor stadium with his blessed musical talent throughout the whole night. Not only good in playing piano, he can also deal with guitar, drum, violin, and even the latest instrument (i guess) he learned -- 二胡!
To me, the concert was more enjoyable than Eason's. Remarkable parts included the grand piano, unplugged group guitar and violin performances.
At the end of the concert, long and loud applause was given to Leehom from the crowd. Personally I clapped aloud from the bottom of my heart, appreciating his talent and sincere performance. His music is not as special as Jay Chow's, but his enthusiasm towards music was undoubtedly tremendous, for he was also one of the music directors for his very own concert.
Leehom's concert was one of the worthwhile ones that I've ever been to, it's just ranked right after Kelly's :-). Maybe the ranking will be changed again after Justin's Christmas Eve Concert in December? I'm really looking forward to it! Last but not least, of course, THANKS to pregnant Michelle for choosing me as your bodyguard to accompany you to watch your idol. The Economic Principle of Externalities applied to me last night! (i'm learning Econs this sem!)
Hurray!
10月1日 The Latest Singapore Idol 2006
Singapore has made her choice.
The smooth R&B vocals of Hady Mirza have won over the hearts of viewers and its owner has been crowned Singapore's new singing sensation on 25 Sep 2006.
My prediction was accurate this time. Since the start of the competition, the three contestants which i think have the most potential to be in the final were all in -- Hady, Jonathan, and cute Jasmine! It's true, they were really my choices.
It's quite wasted that Jasmine couldn't really sing well although she has got the apperance as a star. It was expected that she won't be voted as the singing idol in the end. Jonathan's voice is unique but has very limited range. When he was performing for TH Band in the early March this year @ The Forum, his live singing stunned me. His voice blended perfectly with the slow rock "Unwell" by Matchbox Twenty. I was wondering if he would take part in the coming Singapore Idol after the show ended. Well, he really did.
Hardy Mirza. Indeed he was the overall best candidate -- Wide vocal range, natural and steady on-stage performance. If he couldn't win, who else could? Watch his greatest performance here.
Bravo, Singaporean malays! you all won the Singapore Idol two times in a row! Other countries' friends should learn from you all -- show off their real capabilities instead of just waiting for other people to feed.
![]() Why could he win? Watch this and you'll know why. My most favourite song by him.
